Vintgar Gorge Photography Workshop

The stunning 1.6km Vintgar Gorge, carved 150m deep into the mountains by the Radovna River and ending with the 30-metre Sum Waterfall, is an ideal location to learn the art of capturing smooth flowing water effects.

The trail leads along a wooden walkway through the gorge, offering great photographic opportunities.

On this workshop you will learn how to capture fast flowing waterscapes and how to use long or short exposures to create stunning images.

This workshop is available as a private 1-1 or group course. Due to opening times, workshops are only available at Vintgar Gorge from spring to autumn

getting to slovenia

From the UK there are several direct flight to Ljubljana from London.

Wizz Air flies every other day from Luton.

Easyjet flies daily from Stansted and every one other day from Gatwick.

getting to the location

Vintgar Gorge is about a 40-minute drive from Ljubljana, and 10 minutes from Lake Bled.

what to wear

Depending on the time of year, warm clothes. Ideally layers that can remove or put on as we’ll either be shooting before sunrise or after sunset, in the dark, when it will be colder. In spring the daytime can be very warm, but the temperature can drop quite a bit when the sun goes down. Summers can be quite hot. You may also need a raincoat.

Check with me at the time of booking for more advice.
