April and May were busy months with the publication of a photoshoot
in the east of Slovenia, a new travel guide and the licensing of
an image from a photoshoot of a famous church built on a marsh.
A new aircraft gallery is also available.
The Samuels are an English family
living in Prekmurje, Slovenia and were the subject of an article
in Living Abroad Magazine about their life and holiday rental
business (www.livingabroadmagazine.com)
I was comissioned for the photoshoot. It wasn't easy as the
editor wanted summer shots in winter, but after several shoots
we managed to get the right shots. Naturally I now have a
surplus of stock photos of the family attending the Pust (traditional
Slovene festival) along with other shots from the are. Click
here to view the photoshoots and if you are interested in
an having an article written about this family's move to Slovenia
and need photos to accompany it, then check out my galleries

As a travel writer my photography
work often goes hand in hand with my writing. Recently I was
commissioned by Fastcheck Guides (www.arrivalguides.com)
to write a downloadable E-guide to Maribor, in the east of Slovenia.
The guide was designed to coincide with the start of Ryanair's
daily flights to Maribor and is also available to download via
their website: www.ryanair.com
A request popped up at my
photo agency Photographers Direct (www.photographersdirect.com)
in May for images of Saint Michael's Church, designed
by Ljubljana's most famous resident, Joze Plecnik, and built
in Crna Vas, on the Ljubljansko Barje (a marshland to the south
of the capital). Being located just a short drive away I jumped
to the challenge and one of the images was licensed for the
clients forthcoming book, 1001 buildings to see before you die.
Visit the gallery to see the full photoshoot of this fascinating
church, inside and out:

Photobox
Last month I announced
the joining of Imagekind,
my agents in the USA for ordering prints. Well this month
I am pleased to announce I have also signed up with an agency
in the UK, Photobox.co.uk,
making it cheaper for customers this side of the pond to order
their favourite prints.
Unfortunately they do not have the great selection of prints
and frames to choose from as Imagekind,
but you can purchase a select number of print sizes, and also
two types of calendar with images of your own choosing.
Ljubljana airport in
Slovenia certainly could not rank as one of the largest
airports in Europe, but it's small size does mean you can
get fairly close and watch the aircraft taking off and landing.
Companies that service this airport include Easyjet (www.easyjet.com)
who fly daily to and from London, and Wizzair (www.wizzair.com)
who fly from Brussels. Slovenia's only airline, Adria, services
many destinations from this airport. www.adria-airways.com
