| Hi everybody
February has been a short month, but with plenty of things happening
here in Slovenia. It was the month of the Pust, a spin off of the
Kurrent, an ancient tradition of dressing up to scare off the winter
and welcome the spring. Here in Slovenia everyone from children
to adults don all manner of costumes and masks and take to the streets
to celebrate. Some are huge parties in the big cities, and others
are local versions in small villages. I was lucky enough to be at
two, one in the capital and another in the small village of Fukovci,
in the east.

In Ljubljana there was a massive carnival, but what
was more special was the evening when a small group of musicians
gathered in Preseren Square to make their own party, where

And in the east, in the small village of Fokovci
in Prekmurje, a small group of locals gathered together, from
young children to rugged farmer types and were pulled from
house to house by old tractors where they were welcomed with
